The current economy in the Augusta area is very good. The Housing Industry is rebuilding and actually saw an increase in sales in February vs. January 09.
Housing Stats Increase 22 percent: Increase between January and February for multi-unit building and single family houses in thr U.S.
Looking at the Augusta numbers, sellers are averaging 95% overall of the list price. The average sales price in the Augusta area is currently $146,290.
Now that people are seeing the ecomomy settle down, they feel they can buy.

Augusta Real Estate
Augusta is a great place to live, work and play. Spring time is the most beautiful time around our area with the azaleas, dogwoods (and pollen). Also home of the Masters, which is just a couple of weeks away. Interest rates are just below 5% and the Augusta market is great!
